Wednesday night Vinyasa:
from 5:30 p.m. to 6:40 p.m.
Expect to flow ...
This
class begins with a few sun salutations to warm-up the body. It
progresses from there into a balanced standing pose sequence to build
strength, before flowing into some seated stretches to increase
flexibility.
Sunday afternoon Vinyasa:
from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Building to a challenge ....
This class begins with pranayama (breathwork). Warmups normally include sun salutations and move from there into standing poses. Lately this class has been focusing on building up to a peak pose (that changes each week). We work with the pieces of a pose before trying the full expression. Afterwards expect some seated or reclining counterposes and shavasana. This is the fasted-paced class of the week and will probably produce sweat.
Classes are held upstairs above Trail 2 Wellness
102 Depot St., Lyndonville, Vt.
Cost is $10 per class or 5 classes for $45.
Just in case you're wondering ...
What's vinyasa mean anyway?
Vinyasa is a sanskrit term that means connecting yoga poses by flowing with the breath from pose to pose in a particular order.
